Online Renewal
All licensees are required to renew with continuing education
every two years. 2.0 Cont. Ed or 20 hours must be earned two years prior
to Renewal Due Date. There are various types of ways to earn credit (see
Rule.0601 under Documents and Forms for
entire listing). Licensees may complete their renewall application
and pay online before mailing in supportive documentation. Your
documentation must be uploaded to the renewal application or mailed in.
E-mailed documents not accepted. Once documentation is received and
reviewed by NCBRTL your renewal will be approved and due dates will be
updated online and licensees may print out new verification. Your
financial receipt is not approval.
General renewal and continuing education instructions and
information

Your renewal cycle is two years back from your due date.
For
Example, if your due on 6/15/2016 then your cycle is
6/15/2014-6/15/2016. This means your Continuing education
must be earned within those dates. The website will not allow you to
enter those outside of your cycle for renewal.

Documentation must be uploaded to your online Renewal or
mailed in before your Renewal will be approved. NCBRTL does not accept
emailed documents except official transcripts from school registrar’s
office.

20 Hours or 2 Cont. Ed are required. The
website only accepts them in hours so please convert them. 1
Hour =.1 Cont. Ed.

You have a grace period of two weeks before your license
expires. Due Date is the 15th and Expiration is the 30th.
- Documentation must show your name, issue date, the content
or objectives and the value or hours earned.

The content must be within the NCTRC Job Analysis areas.

Conferences can be entered as one entry as long as each
session is listed on the documentation/transcript.

Conference pink punch sheets are not proper documentation.
Transcripts are proper documentation.

NCRTA TR Conference sheets must be verified from their
Raleigh office prior to submission.
