New Rules for the North Carolina Board of Board of Recreational Therapy have been posted. These can be download and viewed through the documents section of the website.
Proposed Rules Changes
Rules: NCBRTL has registered proposed Rule changes to further clarity to Complaints, Investigations, Sanctions, Hearings, defines a Letter of Notification and defines Unauthorized Practice. The existing Rule .1001 has been divided up into these seven rules to make them easier to read and specify specifics. NCBRTL wants licensees to understand they review “compliance issues” differently than “practice violations”; while continuing to monitor for best practices in Chapter 90C. Legislative requirements now include the use of “Letters of Notifications” and definition of “Unauthorized Practice” so these Rules address and define them in compliance of these requirements.
